EBA: FTP Sync Publisher's Description

The FTP Sync component is an ActiveX Component that provides a simple interface for synchronizing files and folders between a client and a server running an FTP Service. FTP Sync is ideal for use in any application that requires file synchronization, as it does not require any user input. This makes a great solution for both client-side applications, as well as embedding in server-side components and scripts. With both Uploading and Downloading Synchronization methods, FTP Sync can be used in a multitude of applications. With FTP Sync enabled client applications, you can easily deploy new files to every client application simply by uploading updated files to an FTP server. The FTP Sync component will determine which files have been updated, and will automatically download the new version of the files, thereby deploying the changes to every client. By only transferring the files that have been updated, significant bandwidth is saved automatically without intervention. Some features include:Synchronize files and folders between your Windows applications and remote servers via the Internet in both passive and active transfer mode for compatibility with any FTP server. Synchronize servers using our "Smart Transfer" syncing functionality which scans files to determine which files need to be transferred. This minimizes bandwidth and increases performance. FTP Sync performs either Upload or Download Synchronization, allowing you to keep clients in sync with a server, or keep a server in sync with your client application. FTP Sync can be used in compiled applications developed in any MS Windows compatible language such as Java, C++, Visual Basic, or C#. It can also be used in scripted applications written using Windows compatible languages such as Javascript or VBScript, and it can be easily embedded in ASP or ColdFusion web-pages. FTP Sync can even be embedded into MS Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, or Access databases.
